Welcome mistakes
When children speak, focus on the message rather than grammar slip-ups. Praise their willingness to share; accuracy develops naturally when confidence comes first.

Express Your InterestAbout
English learning should be more than memorising words and completing exercises.
At Miss D English, children learn to use English through communication, creativity, stories, activities and meaningful interaction.
The goal is not simply to know more English. It is to feel more confident using it.
Learning pillars
Build confidence through conversation and participation.
Develop understanding and reading skills.
Express ideas creatively through age-appropriate activities.
Improve focus and understanding through meaningful listening activities.
Learn through games, projects, stories and hands-on experiences.
The flagship program
A 9-month learning journey for children aged 6–11, designed around progressive development, confidence and real communication.
A 9-month journey. Four progressive stages.
Vocabulary, confidence and speaking.
Reading, writing and communication.
More complex language and creative projects.
Confidence and real-life English use.
There are no exams or test drills here. The confidence and real communication skills children build along the way are a natural foundation for future Cambridge pathways — such as Starters, Movers or PET — should they ever choose to pursue them.

Our approach
Children learn best when they are actively involved.
Miss D English combines structured learning with conversation, games, stories, creative activities and projects so that children have opportunities to use English — not simply study it.
Children may be thoughtfully grouped according to factors such as age and current English level, so that the learning environment is appropriate for the group.

The educator behind Miss D English
I'm Denise Lanorias — but to my students, I'm Miss D.
Miss D English is an independent educational brand founded by Denise Lanorias, drawing on over 15 years of international teaching experience and certified TEFL/TESOL methodology. Conceived as a dedicated home for authentic English learning, Miss D English creates curated language programs — beginning with its signature Enrichment Program for children aged 6–11 — where natural communication and speaking confidence guide every experience.
With 15+ years of international teaching experience and a certified TEFL/TESOL methodology, I created Miss D English to give children a place where they can learn English in a supportive, engaging and encouraging environment.
My approach is simple: children learn English best when they feel comfortable using it.
I create learning experiences through conversation, games, stories, creative activities and projects, giving children opportunities to participate, experiment with the language and grow in confidence.
For me, learning English is not only about knowing the language — it's about feeling confident enough to use it.
— Miss D
Supporting your child
Simple ways to nurture confidence and curiosity with English at home — without stress or homework.
When children speak, focus on the message rather than grammar slip-ups. Praise their willingness to share; accuracy develops naturally when confidence comes first.
You don't need a desk or formal study hours. Five minutes in the car naming colours, switching a favourite cartoon to English, or counting fruit at the market builds natural familiarity.
Instead of quizzing with “How do you say that in English?”, explore together: “Let's listen to this song,” or “Show me a game you played with Miss D.” Curiosity creates joy.

A monthly note from Miss D
Once a month, I share practical ideas for living English naturally — conversation tips, curated learning resources and updates on Miss D English programmes, for parents and anyone who loves the language.

School English often focuses on grammar rules, worksheets and grades. At Miss D English, children use English in action — through stories, games, creative tasks and real conversation, the language becomes a natural tool for expression, not a subject to fear.
Not at all. Every child is welcomed at their own pace. With a maximum of 6 children per group, every voice is heard. Visual cues, expressive storytelling and hands-on activities help even complete beginners feel comfortable — never put on the spot.
No tests, no grades and no homework. Children already carry enough school pressure; our 75-minute sessions are an energising experience where learning happens in the room. What they take home is enthusiasm, new words and pride in what they created.
Each session lasts 75 minutes (1 hour 15 minutes) at the Public Library of Bodio Lomnago, Piazza Don Beniamino Gandini 2.
• Saturday mornings: 09:00 – 10:15 and 10:30 – 11:45
• Weekday afternoons: we are currently collecting availability for potential groups Monday to Thursday (indicative afternoon window from 16:00)
Groups are formed with care according to age, English familiarity and family preferences shared in the interest form.
Expressing interest is free and carries no obligation. You simply share your child's age, their current level of English and preferred days; I'll then reach out personally by WhatsApp or email to introduce myself, answer your questions and find the right group together.
